Abstract:

A method of establishing a color image space model including the steps of: (a) setting a standard color card containing a series of reference colors for use as a color data bank, and then setting a table of relative adjectives; (b) setting a color comment questionnaire subject to the standard color card and table of relative objectives thus obtained; (c) selecting at least one particular group people to make an investigation subject to the set color comment questionnaire, and then collecting and arranging the investigation result thus obtained so as to set up effective statistic data; and (d) using an analysis mode to compute the effective statistic data thus obtained, so as to establish a specific color image space model.

Abstract:

Disclosed are methods and compositions for modulating the function of transcription factors, especially transcription factors that recruit epigenetic regulators (histone modifying enzymes) to specific DNA promoters. The targeted transcription factors include but are not limited to the myocyte enhancing factor (MEF2), the forkhead/winged helix transcription factor FOXP3 and the transcription factor GATA3. Also disclosed are small molecule modulators of MEF2 and its associated factors that include but not limited to histone deacetylases (HDACs), p300/CBP and Cabin1 and the therapeutic applications thereof.

Abstract:

Disclosed are methods and systems for determining the three-dimensional structure of chromatin in eukaryotic cells. More specifically, disclosed are methods and systems for obtaining chromatin structural information by surface immobilization, i.e tethering crosslinked protein:DNA complexes and/or ligated DNA complexes to media such as beads, gels, and or matrices during the conformation capture assay. In general, the method includes contacting a cell with a cross-linking reagent to cross-link DNA and protein in the cell; lysing the cell, producing cross-linked protein:DNA complexes by cutting the chromatin using a chemical, physical or enzymatic method, substantially immobilizing the cross-linked protein:DNA complexes, ligating the cross-linked protein:DNA complexes intramolecularly such that the ligated protein:DNA complexes represent structural organization of the chromatin; characterizing the ligated DNA by sequencing or other methods; and identifying any structural organization of the chromatin. The structural organization preferably includes information relating to interacting loci of the chromatin.
