Abstract:
The present invention provides polypeptides comprising a stabilized trimer of the carboxyl-terminal core region of the ectodomain of an enveloped virus, such as HIV. A subject polypeptide comprises three monomers that form a trimeric coiled coil in a prefusogenic conformation of an enveloped virus such as HIV. The subject polypeptides are useful as vacciness against enveloped virus, such as HIV, which vaccines are also provided. The present invention also provides methods of vaccinating an individual to prevent or treat HIV infection or prevent or treat infection by another enveloped virus, using a subject vaccine. Antibodies or binding portions thereof raised against a C-terminus trimeric coiled coil motif of an HIV gp41 ectodomain, or carboxyl-terminal core region of the ectodomain of another enveloped virus, are also provided as are methods of making such antibodies. Methods for detecting HIV or other enveloped viruses in a sample, as well as methods of screening for drugs which can inhibit HIV infection or other enveloped virus infection, are also provided by the present invention.
Method To Implement E911 Services In Ims (Ip Multimedia Subsystem)
A system and method that facilitates processing and/or routing of emergency call in an IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) for VoIP (Voice over IP) subscribers is provided. Specifically, an E911 profile is generated, for example, by an application server, for each VoIP subscriber based in part on current location information associated with the subscriber, such as, the subscriber's IP address. The E911 profile is pushed to the HSS (Home Subscriber Server) of the IMS. The E911 profile can then be stored in the HSS and can be queried by an E-CSCF (Emergency Call Session Control Function) during emergency call processing. Moreover, when an emergency call is received from the subscriber, the E-CSCF can retrieve the E911 profile associated with the subscriber from the HSS and route the call to an appropriate PSAP (Public Safety Answering Point) based on an analysis of the information in the E911 profile.

Abstract:
Systems and methods provide virtual CSCFs in an IMS system. The Virtual CSCFs may be virtual S-CSCFs or virtual P-CSCFs. A master virtual CSCF may be used to distribute subscriber data and initial filter criteria to the virtual CSCFs in a group. Thus one of multiple servers may be used for processing call sessions for the same subscriber, thereby avoiding overloading a particular CSCF in an IMS system.
System And Method For Improving Cellular Telephone User Experience
A method for determining an amount of time required to download a data file to a wireless device includes receiving information indicating a first amount of wireless bandwidth allocated for the download of the data file, calculating a first length of time required to download the data file to the wireless device based on the first amount of wireless bandwidth allocated, and comparing the first length of time required to a predetermined amount of time. If the first length of time required is less than the predetermined amount of time, the download begins. If the first length of time required is more than the predetermined amount of time, information indicating the first length of time required is sent to the wireless device, a start download signal is received from the wireless device, and download of the data file to the wireless device begins in response to the start download signal.

Abstract:
A method and apparatus for providing customer controlled traffic redistribution are disclosed. For example, the method determines one or more states of one or more Customer Premise Equipments (CPEs) at one or more customer sites periodically, wherein the one or more states are configured by a customer. The method then determines a network action for each of the one or more CPEs in accordance with the one or more states of the one or more CPEs, and routes traffic for the customer in accordance with the network action for each of the one or more CPEs.
