Proficient in interpreting and troubleshooting pitot/static systems and there variable components Experienced with operating aircraft transmitting systems such as: Instrument Landing System, UHF/VHF radios, Multifunctional Information Display System (MIDS), ELT Proficient with torque wrenches (digital and analog ) and other hand tools Proficient with the use of compressors and their varying components and tools Have operating experience and knowledge with normal aspirated aircraft engines with their systems and troubleshooting, including, landing gear, avionics, propeller, powerplant, fuel, electrical, cooling, and airframe. Have operating experience and knowledge with more complex aircraft such that have retractable landing gear, turbocharger, twin propellers, FADEC (full authority digital engine control), Jet fuel systems, and composite airframes Have performed preventative maintenance checks and services on all aircraft flown. Such checks are fuel contamination check, visual walk around checklist, oil dip check, tire pressure check, run up checklists in an run up area, etc Proficient with Safety Wiring in varied uses (i.e; connectors, bolts, screws, cannon plugs etc). Pneumatic and hydraulic experience. Have experience with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), OSHA Standards, and have worked with hazardous materials and their related personal protective equipment (PPE). Have operating experience and knowledge with Thielert TAE 125 engine. This engine is a liquid-cooled 4 cylinder, 4 stroke diesel cycle engine with wet sump lubrication. It uses a common-rail direct injection for its fuel supply, and a turbo charger with intercooler. Have experience with doing weight and balance computations, flight planning, and pre and post flight operations. Proficient with all radio communication protocols and procedures Have experience with Meteorology and interpreting weather patterns and interpreting weather services such as METARs, TAFs, Satellite imaging, etc. Have experience and knowledge with operating in all classes of airspace including proficient with Air Traffic Control (ATC), Flight Service System (FSS), and Flight Watch protocols. Have effective communication both in the cockpit and ground crew.
