Abstract:

A method and apparatus that includes processing for providing multi-cast transmissions within a data network begins by determining, for a source virtual network, a list of downstream virtual sub-networks for multi-cast traffic based on a multi-cast routing protocol. The processing then continues by determining multi-cast group membership on as per downstream virtual sub-network, edge device, and port basis. The process continues when a data packet is received via the source virtual network. The processing then continues by generating a multi-cast session table entry based on the list of downstream virtual sub-networks and the multi-cast group membership. The process continues by establishing virtual connections between the source virtual network and edge devices coupled to virtual sub-networks identified in the list of downstream virtual sub-networks. Having generated the virtual connections, the processing continues by downloading the multi-cast session table to the edge devices. The edge devices utilize the multi-cast session table entry to determine where the received data packets are to be forwarded.

Abstract:

The present invention provides a system verification system that automatically generates a behavior model modeling the system under test in terms of actions of a test case and a range of expected reactions corresponding to those actions. In this regard, the system verification system obtains a set of actions and individual reactions corresponding to the actions from a plurality of runs of a test case for the system under test, and automatically generates the behavior model representing the system under test in terms of the set of actions and a range of expected reactions each range corresponding one of the actions. The range of expected reactions generalizes and includes all or most of the individual reactions corresponding to said one of the actions.

A response map descriptively modeling the textual format of a test response of a system verification test is created without a priori understanding of the format of the given response. Such response map is applied to the test response or other similar test responses that share the same format. More specifically, a method of identifying and extracting one or more formats of textual data included in test responses from system verification testing of a system under test is provided, by receiving a first test response including first textual data in one or more formats, generating a response map descriptively modeling the first test response without a priori information of the one or more formats, and applying the response map to a second test response to identify and extract second textual data from the second test response. Abstract:

A virtual testbed for system verification test is provided in which emulated responses are associated with certain steps of a system verification test. The emulated responses can be manually entered or populated with previous test results obtained from execution of the emulation-enabled steps on a real testbed. When the emulation-enabled steps are executed, the system verification test uses the emulated responses as the responses corresponding to the actions of the emulation-enabled steps as if the steps were executed on the real testbed, without actually executing the emulation-enabled steps on the real testbed. Therefore, the virtual testbed of the present invention allows development of test scripts for system verification test without constant, actual access to the real testbed.

Provided are methods, apparatus, and system for policy based wide area network. A network of network appliances is configured with a policy configuration. Each network appliance is configured to validate each wide area network packet against the policy configuration. The validation can include verifying that the packets meet the SD-WAN network segment requirements and security rules including verifying that the source and destination address of the packet meet the firewall zone requirements. Each wide area network packet contains a policy header that is checked by the sending and receiving network appliance against the policy configuration.

Abstract:

Disclosed herein are network appliances, methods, computer-readable media, and systems for aggregating network traffic statistics in a communication network. For example, the network appliance is to receive a SYN network packet; store header information from the SYN network packet in a flow data table; for each of the data packets related to the SYN network packet, store header information of the data packets in the flow table; after a predetermined amount of time or a predetermined number of rows is reached, invoke an eviction policy on the flow data table, wherein the eviction policy removes the related data packets from the flow data table; and populate an accumulating map with the flow data table.
