A modified thermoplastic molding composition having improved compatibility and mold releasability the composition comprising a thermoplastic polyester resin selected from the group consisting of polyethylene terephthalate, poly(1,4-butylene terephthalate), a co-polyester or any combination thereof and from about 0. 1 to about 20% by weight based on the total composition of linear low density polyethylene. Optionally, the composition may have added thereto an effective amount of an aromatic polycarbonate for impact strength. The compositions may also contain an effective amount of at least one additive selected from the group consisting of fillers, reinforcing agents, nucleating agents, flow promoters, coloring agents, flame retardants, coupling agents and stabilizers.
A composition comprising (a) a major amount of an aromatic polycarbonate; (b) a minor amount of an impact modifier comprising (i) an amorphous polyester comprising units derived from 1,4-cyclohexane dimethanol and aromatic dicarboxylic acid or ester forming derivative thereof and (ii) an olefin-acrylate copolymeric resin, the components b(i) and b(ii) in such quantities that the said composition had the following properties (a) thick section notched Izod impact resistance better than a, (b) double gate Izod impact resistance of a weld line better than a+b(i) and a+b(ii), (c) better resistance against basic organic solution than a+b(i) as measured by notched Izod in thin section.

Abstract:
A multilayered structure comprising (a) at least one layer comprised of at least one aromatic polyether imide resin, and (b) at least one layer comprised of a modified aromatic polycarbonate resin containing composition. In the instant structure the layer comprised of the aromatic polyether imide resin is adjacent and to and adhered to the layer comprised of the modified aromatic polycarbonate composition.
Disclosed are flame retardant poly(butylene terephthalate) resins comprising: (i) at least one polyester resin; and (ii) a flame retardant effective amount of a mixture comprising (a) a polyphosphonate ester, (b) an ammonium polyphosphate, and (c) a halogenated benzosulfonate.
Polycarbonate Film Composition Exhibiting A Low Kinetic Coefficient Of Friction And Comprising Glass Particles And Fatty Acid
An improved aromatic carbonate resin film forming composition exhibiting improved kinetic coefficient of friction comprising, in physical admixture, at least one aromatic carbonate resin and glass particles, the improvement comprising said composition containing at least one fatty acid in an amount effective to reduce the kinetic coefficient of friction of said carbonate resin.
The present invention is concerned with ternary polycarbonate compositions having improved impact strength. The ternary compositions comprise a mixture of thermoplastic, aromatic polycarbonates which are derived from aromatic dihydroxy compounds, an acrylate copolymer and a polyolefin and its oxide.
High Impact Strength Polycarbonate Resin Composition
The compositions of the invention comprise a high molecular weight polycarbonate resin and a hydrogenated AB diblock copolymer wherein A is derived from an alkenyl aromatic compound and B is derived from isoprene. The compositions may also include minor amounts of an acrylic interpolymer.
Composition Of An Aromatic Carbonate Polymer, A Styrene-Butadiene Styrene Radial Black Copolymer And An Acrylate Copolymer
A composition comprising an aromatic polycarbonate, a styrene-butadiene-styrene radial block copolymer and an acrylate copolymer useful in molded articles.
