Abstract:
Methods and Pd/VOdevices for hydrogen detection are disclosed. An exemplary method of preparing an improved sensor for chemochromic detection of hydrogen gas over a wide response range exhibits stability during repeated coloring/bleaching cycles upon exposure and removal of hydrogen gas. The method may include providing a substrate. The method may also include depositing a V0layer that functions as a Hinsertion host in a Pd/V0hydrogen sensor to be formed on said substrate. The method may also include depositing a Pd layer onto said V0layer; said Pd layer functioning as an optical modulator.

Abstract:
An immunochromatographic assay device for the detection of an analyte in a liquid sample, the device including a housing that contains an opening for the application of the liquid sample and multiple liquid permeable materials located in the housing that are adapted to receive, treat and facilitate the movement of the sample through the housing; preferably, a first liquid permeable material is adapted to receive the liquid sample; a second liquid permeable material is positioned under the first liquid permeable material; a third liquid permeable material is positioned above the second liquid material; means are provided to prevent liquid communication between the first and third liquid permeable materials; a wicking material, in fluid contact with the third liquid permeable material receives the sample; and reagents are positioned in the housing that display the results of the immunoassay.

Abstract:
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some examples, a user equipment (UE) may communicate with a base station using multiple receivers and receive an indication from the base station to activate a second bandwidth part of a set of bandwidth parts configured for the UE. In response to the indication, the UE may switch from operating in a first bandwidth part to operating in the second bandwidth part and adjust a quantity of active receivers at the UE based on switching from operating in the first bandwidth part to operating in the second bandwidth part. Additionally or alternatively, the UE may adjust the quantity of active receivers at the UE based on monitoring for downlink grants from the base station.

Abstract:
A battery may include a first electrode, a second electrode, an electrolyte, and at least one acoustic device configured to generate acoustic streaming during a charging and/or a discharging of the battery. The charging of the battery may trigger cations from the first electrode to travel through the electrolyte and deposit on the second electrode while the discharging of the battery may trigger cations from the second electrode to travel through the electrolyte and deposit on the first electrode. The acoustic streaming may drive a mixing and/or a turbulent flow of the electrolyte, which may increase a charge rate and/or a discharge rate of the battery by increasing diffusion rate of cations and/or anions. The mixing and/or the turbulent flow may further prevent a formation of dendrites on the first electrode and/or the second electrode by at least homogenizing a distribution of the cations and/or anions in the electrolyte.
