Abstract:

A well pressure control assembly includes an annular pressure containment structure useful for manipulating pipe during drilling and other well operations performed with annular pressure at the wellhead. The annular pressure containment structure includes a sealing structure involving a sealing wall and a fluid port extending through the sealing wall through with a hydrodynamic bearing fluid is injectable adjacent pipe received in the annular pressure containment structure.

Abstract:

A unitized loader has a structural framework supporting a plurality of air bearings on its upper surface and on its lower surface, the upper air bearings supporting cargo on the loader and the lower bearings supporting the loader on the floor, the structural framework delivering air to both upper and lower bearings from a blower mounted on the framework. A pusher is movably mounted on the framework to index or discharge the cargo, and the upper air bearings are designed to provide greater lift along the sides of the loader to naturally compact cargo. Loader motion is controlled by a belt and chain system, the belt forming a pathway under the lower air bearings during loader extension and the chain connected by a driven sprocket to a drive motor on the loader framework, the belt and chain forming a loop with one point connected to the floor under the loader. The discharge end of the loader may be equipped with a ramp-like articulating section for guiding cargo to floor level. A photo-electric eye system by automatically control loading and discharge of cargo, and a transfer pusher may collect cargo in convenient unit sizes for delivery to the unitized loader.

Abstract:

A slip pallet formed as a square or rectangular sheet of a synthetic resin of selected types of polyolefin. The sheet is proportioned to fit upon a platen lift and includes tabs at each edge to be gripped when the platen is thrust underneath the sheet or the sheet is pulled upon or pushed off from the platen. The slip pallet will ordinarily carry loads of boxes formed as interlocking layers and an important feature of the invention resides in providing a sheet having a greater coefficient of friction at the upper surface whereon the boxes are placed, than at the undersurface which is contacted by the platen.

Abstract:

A concrete form mold unit formed of a lightweight, insulative material defines at least two rows of vertical core spaces, offset from each other. Concrete and reinforcing rods fill the core spaces, defining post structures. The top of the form mold unit is troughed and is filled with horizontal reinforcing rods and concrete, defining beam structures. The form mold units are laid in courses and stacked as required to build walls, with vertical cores and horizontal troughs aligned, producing an efficient utilization of concrete in the posts and beams. Each course is filled with concrete before the next course is added. The form mold unit is retained as an insulative part of the building structure, with a low dead load. Vertical attaching plates are placed on the surface of the wall, with penetrating fasteners passing into an underlying concrete post or beam. Surface finish materials are joined to the attaching plates.
