Abstract:
An apparatus for altering the position of a video image, such as an image produced by a video camera, video tape recorder or other image producing device utilizing a raster type scan, without rescanning of the originally generated image alters, by a precise amount, the phase of a video camera or playback device with relation to the overall system or plant sync, while maintaining exact sync timing relationships for all timing pulses fed to the video camera or playback device. The video from the camera or playback device is processed so as to restore its blanking and sync timing to match the timing of other video sources within the system. The horizontal and vertical sync pulses fed to the camera or playback device, such as a video tape recorder, which generates the original image or raster have their phase shifted to accomplish movement of the original image by generating the horizontal and vertical sync pulses from a color subcarrier while keeping phase lock to the sub carrier with the phase shifted sync being reinserted in the picture portion of the original picture signal while the original picture sync is deleted and made to look like a picture signal. This phase shifted sync effectively moves the picture to the left or right or up or down to reposition the image.

Abstract:
A local television antenna system for use with a satellite television system includes an omnidirectional antenna, a support structure for mounting the omnidirectional antenna to a satellite television dish support, and receiving circuitry mounted to the omnidirectional antenna. The omnidirectional antenna includes an antenna plate, having electrical circuit paths formed thereon, and first and second antennas having curled ends. The support structure includes a integrally-molded double clamp for providing a mechanically strong coupling to the satellite television dish support and first and second brackets for mounting to the omnidirectional antenna to provide a mechanically strong coupling. The receiving circuitry is shielded to limit interference and includes filter and amplification circuitry and one or more diplexers for combining a received local television signal with a received satellite television signal.

Abstract:
A telephony call waiting feature is provided wherein a caller ID information related to a third party wishing to converse with a first party already engaged in a conversation with a second party is provided to the first party. When the local office sends an alerting tone (e. g. , CAS) to the first party, the first party telephone set responds by attenuating signals going to the first party handset. The local office then transmits the caller ID information relating to the third party and the first party apparatus receives and displays to the first party the caller ID information related to the third party thereby allowing the first party to either accept or reject the waiting call based on the displayed information.

Abstract:
A method and circuit which allows a telephone user having a conversation with a second party in a telephone system having call waiting to effectively respond to an incoming call from a third party without having to engage in conversation with the third party. To accomplish this, the user presses a key on a customer premises equipment (CPE) which initiates a first flash hook operation which places the second party on hold and connects the CPE to the third party. A pre-recorded message corresponding to the pressed key is then transmitted to the third party. The CPE then performs a second flash hook operation which disconnects the third party and removes the second party from the hold state. A plurality of keys, having a corresponding plurality of pre-recorded messages can be provided, thereby allowing the user to respond to the third party with different messages. The CPE can include CIDCW capabilities which enable the user to learn the identity of the third party before selecting the pre-recorded message.
