Abstract:
A three-dimensional figure made from an inflatable, sculptured envelope of soft pliable material into which is blown a constant flow of ambient air wherein said flow of ambient air can be modulated or reversed to cause a lifelike movement of the sculptured figure. The inflatable envelope can be attached to the face of a billboard to create a three-dimensional display which can be quickly assembled or dismantled. The structure can tolerate substantial leakage of air from the envelope along seam lines, through the pliable material fabric or small puncture holes.
A self-contained inflatable sign for temporary attachment to prominent portions of structures to provide a highly visible message day or night. The sign is an envelope made from translucent flexible panels which is inflated by a blower within the envelope which also contains a series of lights. A message banner is interchangeably held onto the envelope. When inflated the envelope becomes a strong illuminated sign capable of withstanding severe outdoor environments but light enough to be quickly and easily erected on highly visible but otherwise difficult to access portions of buildings or structures. An alternate version is specifically designed for mounting against the front of a commercial building as a marquee-type display.

Means and method are provided for creating giant simulated soft drink bottles, with distinctive shapes more particularly the type having generally longitudinally extended ribs which serve as trade dress. The construction utilizes a series of side panels which are laid out and sewn edge to edge, subsequent to which chalk lines are marked onto the side panels, indicating where the furrows between the longitudinal ribs are to go, and gussets are sewn along each chalk line and centrally restrained with a strap or the like which runs longitudinally of the bottle, so that when the top and bottom portions are installed and the unit is inflated, the trade dress ribs and furrows are well defined in the outer surface of the bottle.

Abstract:
An inflatable display is adapted to be towed over the surface of a body of water and includes an inflatable body which in the disclosed embodiment has an elongated ballast along the bottom to provide a keel-like structure and a blower to continuously force air into the body to keep it inflated against the slight deflation that continuously occurs at seam lines, etc. A tether is extended from the body to a tow vehicle so that the float can be towed along lake surfaces, bays and beach fronts for promotional purposes.
An advertising billboard is provided and various methods and means of its construction are described and claimed utilizing the basic concept of drawing a sheet of fabric having the advertising message on the front across the rigid billboard panel and then introducing a continuous stream of air, or maintaining a continuous pressure, between the panel face and the fabric to smooth the fabric into a continuous, slightly curved surface without wrinkles or sag lines.
