Abstract:
A system and method for caching memory request verification data comprising a memory request generator configured to generate a memory request designating requested data and memory request verification data. A bus is configured to carry the memory request from the memory request generator to a cache memory that stores verification data, and upon receiving the memory request is configured to: retrieve stored verification data from the cache memory, compare the stored verification data to the memory request verification data, and responsive to a match between the stored verification data to the memory request verification data, designate a memory request validation. Also part of the system is a memory controller configured to, responsive to a memory request validation, retrieve data specified in the memory request from a main memory and provide the data to the memory request generator over the bus. A main memory configured to store the requested data.
A connector assembly includes a flexible cable that includes a casing, a plurality of electrical wires each having a first portion encapsulated by the casing and a second portion extending beyond the casing, and a fiber having a first portion encapsulated by the casing and a second portion extending beyond the casing. The connector assembly further includes a housing having a first end to receive the flexible cable and a second end with a connector to connect with another connector, and a circuit board disposed in the housing. The circuit board includes first terminals to connect with the plurality of electrical wires, second terminals to connect with the connector, a plurality of traces coupling respective first terminals with respective second terminals, and a cleat. The second portion of the fiber extends beyond the casing to the cleat and winds around the cleat.

Abstract:
Provided are methods and systems for inter-procedural optimization (IPO). A new IPO architecture (referred to as “ThinLTO”) is designed to address the weaknesses and limitations of existing IPO approaches, such as traditional Link Time Optimization (LTO) and Lightweight Inter-Procedural Optimization (LIPO), and become a new link-time-optimization standard. With ThinLTO, demand-driven and summary-based fine grain importing maximizes the potential of Cross-Module Optimization (CMO), which enables as much useful CMO as possible ThinLTO also provides for global indexing, which enables fast function importing; parallelizes some performance-critical but expensive inter-procedural analyses and transformations; utilizes demand-driven, lazy importing of debug information that minimizes memory consumption for the debug build; and allows easy integration of third-party distributed build systems. In addition, ThinLTO may also be implemented using an IPO server, thereby removing the need for the serial step.
