Abstract:

A method and system for automated annotation and retrieval of remote digital content is described. The image capture device of the present invention is configured to communicate with one or more external devices using a wired or wireless protocol. For example, Smart tag, 802.11, or Bluetooth protocols may be used to enable the camera to communicate with the external device, associated with an object of interest, to obtain metadata corresponding to a captured image of the object. The metadata collected using various forms of technology, as noted above for instance, can be used to automatically index a digital image and/or other digital content without any manual intervention.

A messaging system having a portion for receiving a message, a portion for associating a context tag with the message, and a portion for providing the message with the associated context tag if the message is transferred to a client during a messaging exchange. In one embodiment, the system may include a context provider for analyzing the massage and identifying the context tag. A system, method, processor and client device for an instant messaging (IM) system including an IM server and a user device operationally coupled to the IM server. The IM server provides an availability indication element to the user device indicating if any one of a plurality agents are available for an IM communication session. Abstract:

A tracking device including an RFID module to receive data using near field communication, a positioning sensor, a wireless connection module, a processor arranged to deactivate the positioning sensor and the wireless connection manager, measure the current time, receive using the RFID module or the wireless connection manager itinerary data for the tracking device. The itinerary data includes one or more checkpoint times when the RFID module is expected to receive a data transmission. The processor is further arranged, when not detecting a data transmission at a checkpoint time of the itinerary data corresponding to the current time, to activate the positioning sensor to collect the location of the tracking device, and activate the wireless connection module to connect.
