A mobile communication device receives information associated with multiple home devices, and generates, based on the home device information, a connected home dashboard that includes a home device item, a modes item, a monitoring item, a security item, and a notifications item. The mobile communication device also provides the connected home dashboard for display to a user, and receives, from the user, a selection of one of the home device item, the modes item, the monitoring item, the security item, or the notifications item. A device receives, from a management server, an optimal number of threads, generates a dynamic thread based on the optimal number of threads, and retrieves, from a message store, a message based on the dynamic thread and when the message store is not empty. The device receives a binding from a voicemail server associated with a voicemail user, generates a notification based on the retrieved message and based on the binding, and provides the notification to a user device associated with the voicemail user.

A method includes receiving popularity measure values for a media asset. The popularity measure values provide a measure of a popularity of the media asset provided in digital content and physical content. Popularity measure value weights for the popularity measure values are identified. A digital ranking score for the media asset in digital content is determined based on the popularity measure values and corresponding popularity measure value weights for the digital content. A physical ranking score is determined for the media asset in physical content based on the popularity measure values and corresponding popularity measure value weights for the physical content. A digital ranking weight and a physical ranking weight are identified for the media asset. The method also includes determining a cross-platform ranking score of the media asset based on the physical ranking score, the physical ranking weight, the digital ranking score, and the digital ranking weight.

A method may include receiving, from a first user device associated with a user profile, a first request for a media file and streaming the media file over a network to the first user device in a first format appropriate for the first device. A method may include generating a list of current files stored in a user device, wherein the list of current files includes unique file identifiers, each associated with a corresponding one of the current files. The method may further include sending the list of current files from the user device to a network device and receiving a copy list from the network device in the user device. The copy list may be generated by comparing the list of current files to a list of previously copied files, and the list of previously copied files may include unique file identifiers, each associated with a different one of the previously copied files.
