Abstract:

A method is given for deriving a backup path routing spare capacity template that is feasible, scalable, adaptive, much faster, and near global optimal in redundancy reduction. The method includes determining working paths, aggregating the working paths into a first matrix, determining backup paths, aggregating the backup paths into a second matrix, and deriving the template from the first and second matrices. A method is also given for successively approximating the optimal spare capacity allocation needed for a network. The method includes, determining the link cost associated with a selected traffic flows backup path, determining an updated link cost that is less than the current link cost, determining a backup path with the updated link cost, and notifying the rest of the network of the backup path.

Abstract:

An existing network configuration is assessed, and potential changes to the existing configuration are identified that provide the greatest incremental improvements to the performance of the network. In a preferred embodiment, the user of the system identifies the maximum number (N) of changes that may be implemented in an existing network, and the system provides a set of possible reconfigurations, each requiring fewer than N changes. The user is presented a display of the potential improvement provided by each set as a function of the number of changes in the set, so that the relative incremental gain can be easily visualized. The objective function of the optimization may include conventional load-balancing objectives, or other objectives, such as a global minimization of path lengths.

Abstract:

Aspects of the disclosure relate to an automated iterative predictive modeling computing platform that iteratively requests additional data from external data sources to iteratively generate a more accurate insurance premium estimation. In some instances, the automated iterative predictive modeling computing platform may generate an insurance premium estimation using affordable insurance data and using estimated data in place of missing data. If the insurance premium estimation does not meet predefined confidence thresholds, the automated iterative predictive modeling computing platform may retrieve additional data that is more expensive but also has a likelihood to generate a more accurate insurance premium estimation. This process may be repeated using different data sets from different external data sources until a sufficiently accurate insurance premium estimate is generated by the automated iterative predictive modeling computing platform.

Abstract:

Various embodiments of the present technology include a soft, conformal class of device configured specifically for mechano-acoustic recording from the skin, capable of being used on nearly any part of the body, in forms that maximize detectable signals and allow for multimodal operation, such as electrophysiological recording. Some embodiments can be configured for use in cardiovascular diagnostics, implantable device diagnostics, and human-machine interfaces (HMIs). In some embodiments, a conformal sensing device for measuring mechano-acoustic recording from skin of a human subject can include a mechano-acoustic sensor, a wireless transmitter, a flexible housing, and/or one or more electrodes.
